I hate this list because it measures schools by how many AP tests are taken (not passed, just taken) divided by the number of kids in the senior class (and you know 35-50% of high school students drop out). This number is easily manipulated by schools. All they have to do is hand out every available AP test to every senior in the school and they are good to go. The students don't even have to be in AP classes to take the test. The cost of AP tests are subsidized in some low income schools with grants from businesses.
Also, it excludes some selective high schools, but includes other ones such as the #1and #2 on the list - both Dallas ISD schools that are NOT open to just anyone. You have to test to get in.
So my complaining aside, here are the Dallas area schools and how they ranked in the national list. There were a total of 1905 schools on the list.
