Newsweek/The Daily Beast published its list of the 1,000 best public high schools in America for producing college-ready graduates. They looked at six things: graduation rate (25 percent), college matriculation rate (25 percent), AP/IB/AICE tests taken per student (25 percent), average SAT/ACT scores (10 percent), average AP/IB/AICE scores (10 percent), and AP courses offered per student (5 percent). Don't get me started on the worthlessness of looking at number of AP tests taken by students, when many students fail these tests.
This list only has Dallas-Ft. Worth area schools on it.
