On August 7, 2015, the Texas Education Agency released school accountability ratings for the 2014-2015 school year. The state rates schools on what is essentially a Pass/Fail system. The TEA made it easier to pass this year. For example, math scores for grades 3 through 8 were not factored into the ratings (because they were so bad). In Texas, 4.7% of schools were rated Improvement Required. Here is a list of Dallas-Ft. Worth area public and charter schools on the Fail list. Private schools are not rated.
