2014 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools - Dallas-Fort Worth area

This is a list of DFW area 2014 Best High Schools according to U.S. News & World Report. U.S. News joins with the America Institutes for Research, one of the largest behavioral and social science research organizations in the world, to determine these rankings. Their methodology is based on the belief a great high school serves all of its students well, including those not college bound. The schools must be able to produce measurable results showing success across a range of performance indicators. This list was developed after analyzing data for 19,411 high schools determined to have sufficient enrollment and data.

This list of "Most Challenging High Schools" published by The Washington Post is determined by taking the total number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Advanced International Certificate of Education tests given at a school each year and dividing it by the number of seniors who graduated that year. (Note: these are students taking these tests, not necessarily passing the tests.)
